Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Skillo at skillo.au. By using the platform you agree to these Terms. Skillo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to ACARA. NAPLAN is a registered trademark of ACARA. Skillo uses the term “NAPLAN-style” solely to describe the format of its practice content.

Skillo is currently in beta. Features may change without notice. Data may be reset during testing. No uptime guarantee is provided. Feedback is welcome.

Students access the platform in pseudonymous guest mode. No name, email address, date of birth, or school name is collected. Students are identified by a system-generated UUID, a Skillo Code, and a display alias only.

You agree not to:

• Share your Skillo Code to impersonate another student
• Use bots or scrapers to extract content from the platform
• Use platform content to train competing AI systems
• Attempt prompt injection or system manipulation
• Submit personally identifying information in free-text fields
• Attempt unauthorised access to the platform or its data
• Use the platform in any way that violates applicable Australian law

Skillo reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to any account where a breach of these provisions is suspected or confirmed.

Questions are AI-generated using the Anthropic API for educational purposes only. They do not constitute official NAPLAN assessment and are not endorsed by ACARA. No student data is transmitted to Anthropic. Use of the Anthropic API is governed by Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service, which includes a Data Processing Addendum.

All platform code, question content, prompts, scoring frameworks, and branding are owned by Skillo App (ABN 50 415 900 646). Nothing in these Terms grants you a licence to copy, reproduce, adapt, or commercialise any platform content without prior written consent.

Practice questions are aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9.0. Curriculum content © ACARA 2010–present, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Material has been modified for Skillo assessment use. Neither ACARA nor any state curriculum authority endorses Skillo or its content.

Access during the current beta is free. No payment information is collected or processed.

The platform is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that AI-generated questions are error-free or suitable for any specific purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law and excluding rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform.

Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

Contact [email protected] first. If unresolved within 20 business days, disputes will proceed to mediation in Melbourne before any litigation.

Material changes will be notified via in-app notice with at least 14 days notice before taking effect. The current version is always available at skillo.au/terms.
