A juice company fills bottles with 375 mL of juice each. A crate holds 24 bottles. How many litres of juice are in one full crate?
Answer: 24 × 375 mL = 9 000 mL. Converting: 9 000 ÷ 1 000 = 9 litres.
Question 2 — Medium
An outdoor cinema screens a movie that runs for 1 hour and 48 minutes. If the movie starts at 7:35 pm, at what time does it finish?
Answer: 7:35 pm + 1 hour = 8:35 pm. 8:35 pm + 48 minutes = 9:23 pm.
Question 3 — Hard
Anika is making a scale drawing of her classroom. She uses a scale of 1 cm : 2 m. Her classroom is 10 m long and 8 m wide. What are the dimensions of the room in her drawing?
Answer: Option C is correct — Using the scale 1 cm : 2 m, divide each dimension by 2. Length: 10 ÷ 2 = 5 cm; width: 8 ÷ 2 = 4 cm.
