The number line goes from 0 to 10 000 with major marks every 2 000. What is the value of point P?
Answer: Point P sits halfway between 0 and 2 000. Halfway = (0 + 2 000) ÷ 2 = 1 000.
Question 3 — Hard
The number line goes from 0 to 10 000 with major marks every 2 000. What is the value of point S?
Answer: Point S sits halfway between 8 000 and 10 000. Halfway = (8 000 + 10 000) ÷ 2 = 9 000.
