A camping trip starts on Thursday 14 March and ends on Tuesday 19 March. For how many nights do the campers stay?
Answer: From Thursday night to Tuesday morning is 5 nights: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights.
Question 2 — Medium
A swimming pool is 50 metres long. Anika swims 8 laps. How many kilometres does she swim in total?
Answer: 8 laps × 50 m = 400 m. Converting to kilometres: 400 ÷ 1000 = 0.4 km.
Question 3 — Hard
A packet of biscuits weighs 250 g. A carton holds 16 packets. What is the total weight of the carton of biscuits in kilograms?
Answer: 250 × 16 = 4 000 g. Converting to kilograms: 4 000 ÷ 1 000 = 4.0 kg.
